Thom studied Musical Theatre Performance at Sheridan College in Oakville, ON and has since toured extensively throughout Canada and the US with multiple acts, headlining festivals and theatres, and in support of other artists including 5440, Matt Dusk, Fred Penner, Laurence Gowan, and comedy legend Jay Leno.
He has performed national anthems for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies (remember them?) as well as dates with the CNE, PNE, Royal Winter Fair and the Calgary Stampede.

Thom has spent a lifetime working with young people. He received training as a Montessori educator and spent time teaching elementary school music before moving into private preschool education.
He spent a number of years as faculty for Sheridan College teaching masterclasses in commercial performance and was a regular panelist for both program admission and final-year performance critiques.

Thom has been running Engarde! since 2003, tailoring programs to meet the individual needs of each group he works with. By working with directors, and drama and physical educators at the elementary and secondary levels, Engarde! programming brings new and exciting elements to any project or lesson plan.
His voice can be heard in radio jingles (let's go to the ex!), cartoon voiceovers , and in support of other artists and recording projects. receiving a gold record in 2007 for the album Stocking Stuffer and the #1 selling album in Toronto in 2011 for the album Nothing But Blue. Thom continues to tour and perform regularly.
